This is the step by step process for the call me illustration. It started as a quick exercise. And then I struggled badly – got frustrated. In between step one and two I finished the survival illustration and learned a lot about painting female faces. How to not show to much structure and keep them very soft. And from that point on things went so much smoother.

I added two new images to my portfolio page. If I find the time I’ll do a step by step for those two images later. As most of the time when I finish a painting I am not sure if I like it or not. Only time can help me with this question.

My week 3 contribution to the environment workshop at CGMA. Space and scale where the catchwords. I decided to go with a oxygen extraction site in a meteorite.

Three grayscale thumbnails for the second week of the environment workshop at CGMA. I tried some different scenarios but somehow ended up putting the horizon line very low or even below the image.
